Information for teams playing in the California Finals.

Because of the amount of last minute drops, which relates to format changes coaches will receive their format information upon check-in.

The 18’s , 16’s, and 14’s division will be formatted with the top 16 teams playing in a Power Pool format with the balance of the teams in Challenger Pools.  If your team(s) have received a bid into the USA Volleyball National Championship you will automatically be put into the Power Pools.  If your team(s) are playing in a higher age group and you have received a bid i.e. a 14’s team playing in the 16’s division you will not be placed in that age groups Power Pools.

The 12’s Division will be playing a championship format.

The balance of the teams will be seeded based on season regional play, and NCVA “special” sanctioned events.

Out of Region teams please feel free to include your regional standing via email to vball@ncva.com no later than June 5th at 5:00 PM.

After the tournament begins all posting of results can be review on line by going to the NCVA web site www.ncva.com - click on California Finals.  Please pass this information on to all those involved in your club.

In addition to coaches check-in (to receive the tournament format) we are requiring a team captain from each team to also check-in at the tournament desk prior to the start of play on Saturday to receive the players only packet which includes prize opportunities.  Please allow enough time to pick up the packet before they start playing.
